Senior Spotlight: Tegan McKenzie

This week's senior spotlight is Tegan McKenzie. He was born June 6, 2005, in Smith Center, KS. Tegan is the son of Jay and Penny McKenzie. He has a sister Tayln and a brother Tyce. Tegan enjoys practicing and playing sports in his free time. He has participated in football, basketball, track, FCA, and NHS. Many people have inspired Tegan over the years. "I take inspiration from my parents, coaches, and teachers because I think that all of them have something to offer that I will be able to use later on in life." His favorite high school memory is blocking Kaden Weltmer's shot four times after telling him he would," never block his shot because it's too quick". Tegan plans to move back to Smith Center after college, getting a local job while possibly coaching on the side, and raising a family.
