Launch the media gallery 1 playerThis week's senior spotlight is Leia Beth Marlene Fagan. She is the daughter of Ben Fagan and Angie Thieman. She was born in Batesville, Indiana. Leia has 5 siblings, Abby, Josiah, Joel, Micah, and Asher Jones. After graduation Leia plans to work all summer and to attend Emporia State University. During Leia's high school career, she has been involved in FCCLA, Jazz Band, Pep Band, School Plays, Sports Manager, and Yearbook photographer. Leia's favorite thing about USD237 is that everyone helps everyone. In Leia's free time, she is usually working, but if she isn't working she likes to read and spend time with her family. Leia sees herself in 10 years " With a good teaching job in a big city, hopefully married, and hopefully with at least one child. I hope my relationships with my family remain strong and we stay in touch." Leia has many inspirations and people she aspires to be like. "My mother is one of them, because she has overcome everything that life has thrown her way. Also, my Aunt Beth because she's gone through a lot of self changes and realizations and she has gone through hardships because of it, but she's still the most successful, coolest and most fun person I know. I know I want to be as kind and thoughtful and helpful as my grandmothers, Rhonda and Theresa." Leia's favorite memory of high school was, " junior prom or biology 2 class my junior year with Mr. Buckmaster."
